Veritas · Latin, "truth"

Auto insurance, stated plainly.

Most policies are written to be difficult. We take the opposite approach: tell you what each coverage does, what it costs, and where it stops — before you decide, not after you file a claim.

Answer four questions and a certified representative will walk you through your options in plain English. No obligation, no pressure, and nothing buried in an appendix.

Three commitments we put in writing

Veritas Protect was built on the belief that a driver should be able to understand their own policy without a lawyer. These are the commitments that shape every quote we prepare.

  1. 01

    We show the exclusions first

Before we tell you what a policy covers, we tell you what it does not. If a quote has a gap that matters for how you actually drive, you will hear about it on the first call — not the day you need it.

  2. 02

    One price, itemized

Every quote is broken down line by line: base premium, each coverage you chose, every discount applied. If you cannot trace a dollar back to a line item, it should not be on your bill.

  3. 03

A certified person, not a script

Our work is carried out in partnership with Nicholas Vlass, a Certified Insurance Representative, where certified and appointed. You talk to someone who can explain the reasoning behind a recommendation, and say no to one.

What each coverage actually does

A reference you can read in two minutes. Nothing here is a sales pitch — it is the same explanation our representatives use on the phone.

Liability

Pays for injuries and property damage you cause to other people. Required in nearly every state, and the coverage a lawsuit is measured against.

Does not cover Your own car, or your own injuries.

Collision

Repairs or replaces your vehicle after an impact with another car or an object, no matter who was at fault.

Does not cover Theft, weather, and mechanical failure.

Comprehensive

Covers the things that happen while you are not driving — theft, hail, fire, falling branches, a deer at dusk.

Does not cover Damage from a collision you were in.

Uninsured motorist

Steps in when the driver who hit you has no policy, or a policy far too small to cover what they did.

Does not cover Damage you caused to someone else.

Medical payments

Pays medical bills for you and your passengers after an accident, regardless of who was at fault.

Does not cover Lost wages, in most states.

Roadside assistance

Towing, jump starts, lockouts, flat tires and fuel delivery, around the clock.

Does not cover The cost of the repair itself.

In their words

“The rep read me the exclusions before the price. I had been with my old carrier eleven years and nobody had ever done that.”
Dolores WhitfieldSavannah, GA
“I asked why one line was higher than the last quote and got a straight answer in about thirty seconds. That was the whole reason I switched.”
Marcus OyelaranColumbus, OH
“They told me one of the add-ons I was about to buy would not help my situation, and took it off. Not what I expected from an insurance call.”
Priya RaghunathanBellevue, WA

See the whole policy before you buy it.

Four questions, a real quote, and an honest explanation of what it does and does not include. Takes about four minutes.
